Private chef & private events — Schiedam, Delft & Rotterdam: Three ways
to bring us
to your table.

Raffa & Vale cook for you — a themed evening at your place, hosting and live cooking for your event, or something made to measure from scratch.

Metti una sera a cena.
A meal that tells a story.

Book Raffa & Vale for an aperitivo, a lunch or a dinner at your place. Every meal has a theme and a narrative — a region, a memory, a season, a family recipe — told course by course while you eat. Guests can ask, taste, lend a hand: it's an evening you take part in, not one that just gets served to you.

Aperitivo spread for a small group

Aperitivo

Small plates and drinks, standing or sitting, built around one theme — the street food of Naples, say, or a summer on the coast. Short stories with every bite, and the fried things straight from the pan. Raffa — confirm minimum

Lunch

A long Sunday-style lunch, course by course, with the story behind every dish — where it comes from, who made it first, how it's done. Unhurried, and very interactive. Raffa — confirm minimum

A dinner table laid for guests

Dinner

A themed dinner for your table, written around the guests and the occasion. Each course is a chapter of the evening's story, cooked in your kitchen and served at your table. Raffa — confirm minimum

Assaggi d'autore.
Hosted, cooked, or cooked live.

Raffa & Vale come to your event as hosts, as cooks, or both — and can cook live in front of your guests, so the food becomes part of the programme. Two kinds of event it works especially well for:

HostingCookingLive cooking
A styled focaccia, plated for a launch event

Product launches & brand events

Bites and a live cooking station built around your product or brand story — food that's styled to be photographed and gives guests something to talk about. Shop openings, presentations, press moments.

A plated tasting of chocolate-dipped figs

Company & client evenings

A guided tasting or a live-cooked dinner for your team, your clients or your partners — each dish introduced with its story and technique. Hosted from the first glass to the last plate, so you can just be a guest.

Sartoria del Gusto.
Tailored to you.

Some ideas don't fit a format — and they shouldn't have to. Sartoria del Gusto is a custom-made experience, cut and sewn around your wishes like a tailored suit: the place, the people, the story, the food. Tell Raffa what you have in mind and she'll design it with you, from the first fitting to the finished evening.

01

The fitting

A first conversation: the occasion, who's coming, where, and the feeling you want people to leave with.

02

The pattern

A proposal written just for you — menu, story, format and a clear price — adjusted until it fits.

03

The finished piece

On the day, Raffa & Vale cook, host and tell the story, so all you have to do is enjoy it.

A few of the rooms
we've cooked for.

Raffa — this section is empty on purpose — nothing fabricated. Add two or three real tastings, launches or company events you've done, each with a photo you have the client's permission to publish (a short line: what it was, roughly how many guests, is enough). These are the references that actually sell the service, so they belong here rather than on the agenda page. Reuse a .project-card (see "At your home" above) or a simple photo + caption — whatever you have.
01

The menu is yours

Written once we know the occasion and the guests. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and allergies are designed in, not apologised for.

02

Everything is included

Shopping, cooking, serving and the clean-up. Wine isn't included — we aren't licensed to sell it — but we're happy to suggest a pairing for the menu, and extra service staff can be added on request.

03

One clear price

Quoted before anything is booked, invoiced properly if you need that. No surprises at the end of the evening.

The practical
questions.

No. A normal home kitchen with four burners and an oven is plenty. We'll ask a few questions about your kitchen before confirming, and bring anything that's missing.
For a dinner at your place, you normally use your own tableware. If you don't have enough, rented tableware and extra service staff can be added to the quote.
No — we don't hold a licence to sell alcohol, so wine is never part of the price. We're happy to suggest a pairing chosen to match the menu; you buy the wine yourself, or through a partner wine shop we can recommend.
Schiedam, Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague are all straightforward. Further into the Netherlands is possible with a travel supplement.
Raffa — add the real minimums for a small-group aperitivo, lunch and dinner here.
Not necessarily — plenty of menus can be prepared in advance and finished on site with portable equipment. Raffa — confirm the minimum a venue actually needs on site (power, water, space) for that to work.
Raffa — confirm a realistic lead time for an event booking (a launch or a company evening).
Raffa — confirm the deposit amount or percentage, and when it's due.
Raffa — confirm a realistic maximum, and whether extra staff come in above a certain number.
Yes, happy to coordinate directly with your planner or venue on timing, kitchen access and service. Raffa — add anything specific here: venues or planners you've already worked with, how you prefer to be looped in.
One more idea

Some people cook first,
then sit down to eat.

A workshop that turns into dinner is one of the most popular things we do. Ask about it.
